Seems veloxmedia.uk got a new owner
After selling unsustainable 32GB RAM VPS for cheap on lowendtalk forum, the Velox Media from UK seems to have a new owner. The former owner sold veloxmedia.co.uk and its assets according to the conversation on Discord and Lowendtalk. I’ve got a VPS from them and its working fine as of now, but can’t say if it will be kept so I’m looking for migrating. Though many users have reported their VPS gone down for 3+ hours. Looking for better alternative now. How is HostDzire or Hostbrr VPS?
read velox media’s trustpilot reviews. lots of downtime, slow connection to the vps complaints. Even on lowendtalk their customers are asking for refund. It seems Eric is the new owner of velox media. Actually they did earlier had some good offers like a VPS in Fremont, USA hosted with Hurricane Electric. But after their Black Friday deals it feels like its a summer host or an exit scam. Hope new owner can keep those servers plugged. It seems he has paid a huge bill to keep the company alive. But again, investment has to be done on long-term basis. Collecting money for triannual server plans but paying bills on monthly basis for the node does not feel confident from a customer’s perspective.
Yes, Eric seems to be the new owner of Velox Media UK and the former owner Lewis just scammed users, took the money and logged-off. Hope Eric can continue hosting business with same brand or spin a new brand.
Hostbbr or Racknerd can be better alternative for velox media VPS. Both have storage and general-use VPS in USA. Though they might not have in UK but in Europe (Germany). You can else try Cloudzy if you want UK specific VPS.
