StackCP Hosting / 20i Alternatives

Looking for better alternative to StackCP Hosting / 20i

After iBrave hosting, a reseller of 20i who sells StackCP hosting, shutdown their business I was migrated to 20i’s StackCP platform but the speed of website is too slow and it seems oversold server. Plus I am paying $30 per month just to host single site with 10GB space. Also tried stackcp resellers but they are also too costly to host a small business website.

I’m looking for a better and more reliable alternative to stackcp hosting in terms of features and pricing. Many reddit users recommended to try cPanel hosting from The Online and also directadmin hosting. For directadmin I choose to go with Hostbrr (where I’m paying just $10 a year for 50GB NVMe web space). I’ve just migrated on of my sites to them. How good is cPanel hosting here at the-online.com? NVMe storage, unmetered bandwidth, cheap pricing, low-latency to U.S. east and west coast is what I require the most.

  1. Well there are few hosting providers that offer stack hosting with stackcp control panel which I’ve used and looks quite basic if compared to cPanel which has 10x more features, is light-weight, and easy to access. Plus world’s 90% of web hosting companies use cPanel for hosting which is industry-standard panel since last 20 years. If you are hosting site on StackCP then its bit difficult to migrate. But I migrated my sites hosted on 20i hosting platform via their reseller to The-Online.com almost 6 months back and I’m happy that i finally get rid from slowest hosting and my TTFB of site is now lowest like 500ms without caching layer.

In deed the-online.com cPanel hosting is best alternative in terms of price, speed and features. It’s just $4.99 per month for 10GB NVMe or $9 a month for 25GB storage which is far more enough for small business sites, and even high-traffic huge sites. I’m having 5GB mysql database hosted with 20GB web space utilized as of now and my site loads in a breeze.

You are paying about $30 a month with 20i-hosting but you can save $20 a month by migrating your sites to The-Online.com plus they use more powerful CDN from Cloudflare which is better than Stackcp providers offer. Also, there is WAF, daily backups, no contract and no setup fees. You’ll hardly need to contact support as everything is always up with 100% uptime which I’ve got in last 6 months. The Online has datacenter location in the U.S – i think its Arizona and one in Dallas too. They also have one in UK, Europe and Asia – just in case if your are from EU and want low latency in that region.

  2. Just note to avoid westhost too as they got acquired by 20i and now use Stackcp. It’s always better to stick to cPanel web host as you can migrate if you find the provider’s service has degraded. With stack hosting (stackcp) you’ll always land on same provider as they are all resellers of 20i – UK based hosting company. So you’ll get on same node or another. Else you can go with directadmin providers. But I’m sticking to cPanel. If you’ve got VPS you can try other panels like aapanel and some open-source ones.
