JioEat.in is a scam website not associated with Reliance
I just found out that there is a big scam website operated in India which is know as “Jio Eat” and run from domain name jioeat.in which seems to be owned and operated by Reliance but its not. Jio Eat is a fraud website and cyber scam. When I went to get a coupon for Rs.99, they sent me an OTP from razorpay, their payment processor, and the OTP asked me to pay Rs.3,099. I informed about this to Reliance officials and they confirmed that Reliance does not owns this site Jio Eat. Then I went to read on X and other social media platforms and found that this site duped many users who went to get food coupons by paying INR 99. Just to raise the issue, I am posting this here.
Fake ‘Jio Eat’ Website Dupes Users With ₹500 Meal Offer! I read this post on X and came here. Really that is really alarming that fraudsters are using Jio name to dupe innocent customers. Even I though jio-eat website to be genuine and wanted to place an order. But thanks to this post which was helpful to me to decide not to go with this fraud site. And after learning about it on the internet indeed I can say that this “Jio Eat Scam” will be soon shut down. Right now their website jioeat.in is not resolving. It’s registered with webnic.cc domain registrar somewhere in the foreign country!
Yup lot of scam sites and apps are popping up on the internet and even on google play store. One of this is jio eat scam. Even I fell for it. I thought the site is owned by reliance industries, but found out that its shaddy site when I received an OTP by SMS to pay Rs 10,099 instead of the original offer Rs 99. IDK how many Indians have been duped by such scam and fraud. cybercrime department of India should take a note of this.
