Google March 2025 Core Update has Begun

Google is rolling out it’s March 2025 core update

Yesterday Google search engine team announced that they’ve started rolling out the new March 2025 core update (of its alogrithm which ranks the sites). It is the first core update this year. The last one happened in the month of December. Google said that this core update may take upto two weeks to complete.

About Google Core Update March 2025:

This is a regular update designed to boost rankings and better surface relevant, satisfying content for searches of all types of sites. This means that it is a global update for all Google markets including the U.S, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc. and content from all languages can be affected. It can have broad changes across the SERPs.

My hat tip: if you are affected with this Core Update is just try creating and publishing more new content that is relevant to users intent and searches. After all, users visit google to gain information, data and knowledge. So try writing what’s relevant to the site users. Helpful content always wins.

Tell me how your sites and blogs are doing after this Core Update rolls out. There can be lots of fluctuations in ranking positions of your sites. Let’s see if small bloggers and content creators are well included in the search listings rather than spam sites.

  1. I think that Websites producing large volumes of low-value (scaled content) or repetitive content may see diminishing returns in this core update. Even content farms relying heavily on AI without meaningful human oversight could be devalued.

  2. Sites using ex-pired domains to redirect to their money sites are taking a hit. This seems to be major part of this google core update. Lot’s of chat on this topic on blackhatworld and webmastercentral.

  3. Seems Google may be cracking down on third-party content hosted on authoritative domains solely for ranking manipulation. This update can target site reputation abuse policy.

  4. there seems to be volatility in SERPs for tech and cooking niche and even for news media sites. Seems news sites publishing non-news content like coupons or articles on top casinos are seeing hitting hard. Whereas, informative articles and blog posts from individual creators are once again seeing a boost in ranking. Hope this sticks.

  5. How to recover from this March 2025 update if your web-site is hit by google c-ore update? Any tip?

  6. How to recover from this March 2025 update if your website is hit by google core update? Any tip?

Reducing excessive intros, ensuring main content appears within the first scroll-depth can help you a lot from core update recovery. Plus write content for user intent instead of long informative articles having 3000 words! Nobody reads them and neither Google loves it.
