Satire, parody profile The Savala Vada banned in India
An Instagram page named The Savala Vada (@thesavalavada) which posts about satire and parody is now banned in India according to the notification by Instagram. The Savala Vada page is blocked if you visit from any Indian IP address. Though you can access it via VPN. The posts published on the instagram profile can be read on another site The Polis Project.
I think the site polis project is behind Cloudflare but is hosted on The-Online.com’s Netherlands server location? The Online has been hosting many such free speech sites without taking down the site or suspending domain name for year. So I was keen to know, as like the polis project I too have a website where authors write about politics and religion and many Indian web hosts have suspended my domain. Can I host securely with The Online without been taken down?
