Meta to close messenger.com domain and messenger desktop app
Meta has decided to shut down the messenger.com domain and website this April. Meta acquired messenger.com in year 2014 and had launched Messenger app and also its web interface (desktop app). In April, Meta will close messenger.com domain and its website. Users can access messenger by opening their Facebook app or by visiting facebook.com/messages site to continue messaging on web. Messenger.com domain was registered in 1998 and used for the exact purpose.
