Google seems to de-index articles created using Gemini AI
I have a wordpress blog where I used to write Gemini created articles. I had copy-pasted those from Gemini AI. The blog has around 200 such posts. They were indexed but this month google started de-indexing gemini articles in bulk. Nearly, 90% of my blogposts were de-indexed. Does google doesn’t like AI generated content anymore? There are many users reporting it on reddit and webmasterworld that their AI written articles are getting de-indexed suddenly. Anyone here with same experience? How to make articles stick in google search.
Google only rewards fresh content with new ideas. While Gemini articles do gets indexed in google search you have to edit them, add your own experience and commentry and publish it. If you copy-paste articles created by AI like Gemini then its gonna be penalized or deindexed sonner or later. Use Gemini AI or other AI model like chatgpt to get new ideas and write your own content. Don’t use AI generated articles.
Yes, many users and bloggers are having deindexing issues lately. Google is crawling sites and blogs and if they find the entire blogpost or article is generated by AI then its getting deindexed. One of my site with over 500 posts got completely deindexed. Then I found a solution: I just wrote all articles myself using examples, real photos, real names, etc and google again started indexing those articles. I kept articles short which satisfy users intent of searching. No more long-form articles and essays. Keeping it short is better and getting indexed.
Site gets removed from the google index if you write low quality AI generated content. I’ve witnessed many sites now using AI articles generated using gemini, claude, and other AI models without sounding as written by human getting content removed. I would suggest you to write human oriented articles which are helpful. AI generated articles are mostly just informative in nature.
