6. I agree there are too many web hosting companies in India, and mostly are resellers, or one-man owned business which are like summer-host, that is, they can close shop any time. But there are big players like bluehost, hostpapa, hostgator, the-online.com, milesweb, godaddy, webwerks, ctrls. I always go with these reputed Indian hosting providers for all my server and domain registration related services. Don’t go with small hosts or newly created web hosts. avoid them. To host production sites and applications always get hosting from the reliable web hosts who are here since a decade. Like I’ve got cPanel hosting from The Online 10 years ago. It’s still the same price Rs 150 per month and better support which is available to fix any issues 24/7. I can’t afford premium cloud hosts like google cloud, aws, digitalocean, but even TheOnline provides quite premium hosting experience at fraction of the cost. Other noteable host is hostingraja.

But its too complicated to use their hosting services apart from cloud instance and s3 storage. You’ll need to hire aws expert for it. Same goes for google cloud. 9. I would advice to stick only with the top providers that you’ve mentioned. Don’t try other Indian web hosts. Since I tried some and they had oversold servers, slow speeds, and support was not helpful.

12. I’m not a fan of cloud hosting but I’ve tried digitalocean and vultr cloud vps. both have Indian datacenter location. Sadly those are unmanaged vps so I gave up. Better to have traditional web hosting that comes with cPanel and backups and you just concentrate on maintaining your website and adding new content. Specifically for Indian blog-gers like me. WordPress is best CMS.

But then it got sold to EIG (newfold digital) and the service went south. Total bad. Just checkout reviews of EIG owned web hosting companines’ reviews you’ll know.     Yes, affirmative. Web hosting plan comes with latest cPanel version. If you want Plesk then get a VPS. I’m using both here.

It might be bluehost (including resellerclub, hostgator), E2E networks, digitalocean, hostingraja, Siliconhouse, webwerks, milesweb (digitalsnap) are top indian web hosts according to sites hosted in India. But many Indian businesses and startups prefer to host sites in Singapore for more faster and better bandwidth. Also many ecommerce sites from India are hosted on CDN like cloudflare, google cloud, or amazon aws cloudfront, etc and these can’t be quantified.
