Indian banks will have to display account balance after each UPI transaction
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has mandated issuer banks to display the available balance within a user’s account while communicating every successful Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transaction. This direction formed part of the broader guidelines on Application Programming Interface (API) usage by different members of the UPI ecosystem.
Also, there is Balance Enquiry API where Users can deploy this API to check the balance available through the UPI app (like googlepay, amazon pay, paytm, phonepe, bhim upi, etc). The NPCI has capped the usage of this balanace enquiry API to 50 requests per app per customer during a 24-hour period, and mandated that only customers can initiate such requests. However, UPI apps can limit or stop the balance enquiry requests to reduce load during peak hours.
The-Online.com is one of the India’s leading web hosting provider and domain registrar which accepts UPI for registerring domain names, including .in and .com domains, as well as, hosting websites for Indian businesses and individuals.
