I can see the search ranking position volatility at a very high range around 9.5/10. This core-update just came after the spam update which lasted for about a day or two. But I didn’t not seen an improvements in removing or pushing down those spam URL within the SERPs. Hope this March 2026 core-update brings in some new improvements and rewards helpful content by ranking those sites higher and thus they can gain more visibility.
We can wait to find out the real effects of this Google Core Update only after it completes (in 2 weeks). Right now some keywords are moving between page 1 and page 2 almost daily, which suggests Google may be testing smaller algorithm adjustments rather than rolling out one large update. Tell me how your site’s ranking are appearing on google-search.
My website (technology niche) traffic is atrocious and not getting any better. I am seeing most of my formerly top ranking terms drop down 50+ spots in ranking every other day practically, then jump right back up. There is a whole new crop of how to articles that have taken over page one and two, plus more AI than ever.
Google seems to be targeting online stores/ecommerce sites right now. Only the news site I operate bounced back quickly. The ecommerce store has been running on low power since.
I’m seeing improvement on one of my wordpress blog. It’s on wordpress.com subdomain. There seems ranking improvement by 4 to 5 position for 10 of my keywords. While my blogspot/blogger site is still not ranking well. Google seems no more rank subdomains on blogspot. My site created on Google Sites ranked well earlier. But it has limited on-page SEO and customization. Better is wordpress.
