More new features in Google Maps across Europe
- With help of AI Google Maps will add ETA (estimated time of arrival) of other means of transportation to a users destination when user queries about finding destination route. This way users in Europe will benefit from getting information about transportation alternatives, that is, If they can get to their destination faster by using public transportation or walking, they will see those instructions on the screen instead of driving directions.
- This way, Google Maps will then show these suggested routes. The new feature is available in 60 European cities, including Stockholm, Warsaw, and Copenhagen.
- Google Maps is also adding cycling navigation in 17 cities in Europe. Since many people prefer cycling while going to office or for recreation, Google Map-s application now shows 125,000 kilometers of cycling bike paths in cities such as Hamburg, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Zurich, Budapest, Vienna and Brussels. Maps app uses data obtained from local governments and public authorities.
- Google Maps is also adding support for low-emission zones, which will affect drivers in Italy, Sweden, Austria, and other locations. Google Maps will send notifications that will "check if the vehicle is allowed in these zones."
