Does GoDaddy offers Free Domain Name?
I was wondering if GoDaddy still offers free domain name when user purchases web hosting or wordpress hosting plan? They used to offer it on two-year purchase of either web hosting or wordpress packages. I couldn’t find any promo related to “free domain” while pre-paying for hosting plans. Also, is it worth getting a free domain? I found The-Online.com also offers free domain with web hosting and managed wordpress annual purchase, but I could not add domain for free into the cart. How does it works?

Lately Godaddy is not offering any free domain with web hosting or managed wordpress hosting plans. I checked their website and could not find any promo. But you can register domain at Go-daddy for $0.01 for 1st year (with 3 year purchase of domain). Mind you the domain pricing for 2nd and 3rd year can be quite higher!! So instead of saving on domain registration you can be spending more. Also, The-Online.com does offer free domain with web hosting and managed wordpress plan when you buy them annually. But for that free domain you’ll have to open a ticket after you purchase web hosting or wordpress. I think this is to avoid abuse of the offer or fake orders. They manually review it and then give free domain. I’ve got it in the same way when I purchased their cpanel hosting plan last year.
