Dynadot Suspended My Domain on Fake Abuse Report

Dynadot suspended domain for abuse

I posted this on reddit post here but not much answers to it. My domain got disabled by Dynadot registrar when they received a fake phising report. Our site is clean, no phising involved. Even my web hosting provider confirmed that there are no phishing pages after reviewing the same abuse reports. I submitted appeal to dynadot complaints@dynadot.com providing all evidence, but even after 24 hours they did not un-suspend my domain. Dynadot further emailed me stating that the domain remains blocked due to

brand impersonation and phishing risk including unauthorized use of branding.

Has anyone dealt with Dynadot compliance? How much time do they take for manual appeal?

  1. Seems dnyadot just uses AI to check it the abuse report is legit or not and then quickly jumps to suspend domains. I read lots of dynadot complaints recently on reddit and on google. Their trustpilot reviews are also filled with such complaints. Now, you should choose a secure and more reliable domain registrar for your future business. There could be competitors and other pissed customers sending fake phishing reports to domain registrar and hosting provider. I suppose its industry-standard that domain registrar has a position to judge whether a phishing report is vaild or just fake. If registrar merely suspends the domain name on receiving abuse or phishing report, then its better to move away from them ASAP. Legit registrar do give a chance to the customer to transfer out the domain than suspending it.

  2. Dynadot Suspended My Domain on Fake Abuse Report

Yeah.. sorry to hear the your domain got suspended. I don’t know if manual review or appeal can work. Mostly, when domain registrar suspends a domain – its for ever. It’s gone. Just a week ago Dyna-dot suspend my domain which had a SaaS site with over 500 users. It’s very risky to do business with registrar which can merely rely on fake abuse reports to shut down the site.

  3. Dynadot is quite legit like The-Online.com as I am using both. If they got a phishing abuse report and if they really find your domain is been involved in brand impersonation then Dynadot can suspend your domain. Read their domain registrant agreement and T&C. Even namecheap has such clause in their legal agreements. And if your domain is really legit you can file and appeal to ICANN or go to the court.
