Domain Registered at Porkbun Changes to com.l.ink

registered domain at porkbun which is getting redirected to l.ink why?

Hi, I need a help as why a .com domain registered at Porkbun recently is re-directing to .com.l.ink domain? I can’t browse my .com domain normally in a browser. I’ve checked from my friend’s laptop too and its redirecting to l.ink. Does anybody knows why this is happening? It does not have any website connected. DNS is hosted with porkbun. So is it infected with malware or something?

  1. l.ink is used by porkbun for their link in bio service. Since you’ve got new domain registered over there then try to check the DNS settings for any re-direction. Most probably there could be an entry in DNS which is redirecting your .com domain to com.l.ink and that’s the reason l.ink domain is displayed in the browser when you re-gister this. Or you can contact porkbun support and look into it. I don’t think its malware or some spoofing.

  2. pork-bun provides a link in bio service where URL forwarded to l.ink subdomain. Check your domain settings if you have accidently enabled this service. Toggle off and you’ll be able to see your original .com domain in browser as it will stop forwarding/redirecting.
