Easy way to find negative seo attack on a website?

I was wondering if there is any way to detect negative SEO attack on your site. For newbies negative SEO means your competitor buying low quality, spam backlinks and pointing them to your site. Those backlinks are thousands in numbers. Anyone can help me to point out easiest way to find such negative seo attack? I do monitor backlinks for free in Google Search Central but Google is bit slow to add such links. By the time they are added more harm is done to a legit site.

  1. Yes you should monitor backlinks regularly in GSC. You can also use Ahrefs or SEMrush to find sudden increase in low-quality backlinks or bulk backlinks by checking the inbound backlinks graph.

  2. The most easy was to find negative seo attack is to spot such backlinks in GSC. Then disavow them by notifying it to google. You can disavow those low-quality backlinks and entire domain. Even google allows to idsavow entire TLD. Most spam backlinks comes from domains registered in .icy, .xyz TLDs.

To protect yourself, keep an eye on your backlinks, disallow bad ones, secure your website, and regularly track your site performance so you can respond quickly if something looks suspicious.

After that, I regularly monitored it with Google Search Console and used disavow to remove it, thanks to that the site gradually stabilized. Links from Money Robot (MR) is quite spammy and it can derank your site in Google search.
