VPS with Port 25 Open

Need to buy VPS with port 25 open for sending emails

Most VPS companies including the low end ones and premium providers do not allow port 25 to be open citing abuse by the users who send emails. It’s really hard to host websites which need to send newsletters and other busines emails from their VPS. My friend who has bought VPS from The-Online.com said that the port 25 is open. I want to confirm that do you really allow outgoing email from VPS/VDS purchased from your site? Are there any restrictions on sending emails from VPS or port 25?

  1. Hi, yes, The-Online.com sells VPS with port 25 open. You are free to send as many as emails, including marketing and transactional emails, newsletters, etc to your website users. While there is no hard limit in sending daily or hourly emails, please respect the fair usage policy of sending 500-600 emails hourly. If you want to send more than 1000 emails hourly then use of Professional Email plan.

  2. I can assure that port 25 is open on my VPS since I bought it 3 years ago. IPs are clean and emails reach inbox of the receipent esp. to gmail, outlook, microsoft 365 and yahoo mail users. I’ve had tried mail.baby, mx route, mailchannels, and other email sending options but most of them sent emails to spam folder. Just add DMRAC, SPF, DKIM, and other security rules so that your emails safely reach the receipent.

  3. The-Online.com is one of the best VPS hosting provider who has port 25 open. Now-a-days every server company is dis-allowing to send emails from virtual machine and closing po-rt 25. But The Online has VPS in the U.S., Europe and Asia and all port 25 open. Just don’t abuse or send spam emails.

  4. Why do we need port 25 open? Port 25 is an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) port, or in other words, port 25 is used to send emails out and to receive emails as well. Just like you need port 80 to be open in order to access any website, you need port 25 to communicate with another mail server. What is blocked is outgoing traffic. This means you can’t send emails out of the server.

  5. 95% of the vps hosting providers block port 25 today due to spamming concerns. This restriction can be problematic for businesses or individuals who rely on email marketing or need to run their email servers. Users have to unnecessarily buy external email services like sendgrid, mailchimp, etc. which are too costly. Hence VPS hosting provider with port 25 open are quite helpful to keep the hosting bill affordable. I’ve used VPS from The Online, Contabo, Ultahost, Knownhost, Racknerd. – all are fine for sending outgoing emails.
