Register.com Merges with Network Solutions

Register.com finally shuts down and accounts migrated to NetSol

Register.com and Network Solutions both ran as sister companies owned by Newfold Digital for past few years. Under the brand consolidation task taken by Newfold they’ve closed down register.com accounts and migrated it to Network Solutions. They did same with other brands like web.com and domain.com which were selling similar products and services like domain name, web hosting, email, ssl, etc.

Register.com is now merged with Network Solutions and register.com customers can access their domain names via network-solutions website. The register.com website yet does not redirects to netsol but the login/sign up area directs to networksolutions.com

Newfold digital also owns Snapnames and Namejet – the drop catching and domain auction platforms. I would not be surprised if they merge both into a single entity, probably, snapnames going away in future.
