Google Merges Android and ChromeOS – Know the benefits

Here is why Google merged their Android OS and ChromeOS

Google confirmed that they are merging Android OS and ChromeOS in near future. It will be one unified platform. This announcment was made by Sameer Samat who is the head of Android ecosystem at Google. So what are the main benefits and advantage for Google to merge both operating system?

The move is seen as an attempt to untangle Google’s software strategy and offer a simplified, smoother experience across smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Android is Google’s most widely used OS, especially on mobile devices like samsung, one+, while ChromeOS powers Chromebooks, which are often used in schools and by budget-conscious users. It is also going to help google to refine and tweak cross-device compatibility and make the user experience more flawless. Bringing both operating systems together could help Google create a single platform that works better on all device types. In my opinion this would also make it easier for developers to build apps that work across smartphones, laptops, tablets without needing to adapt them for two different OS platforms.
