Does using google analytics will affect my site’s ranking in google SERP?
I had already asked this on reddit but did not find satisfactory answers. My question is regarding google analytics. If i add it to my website will it affect the ranking in google search? Can google analytics potentially improve my ranking or it can affect the page loading time? Is google analytics and google search linked in any manner, that is, a site gets boost if they use analytics?
integrating google analytics will not affect the ranking of your website in google search. The correct way is to add any analytics or stat counter code to footer of the webpage before the closing body tag. This ensures the analytics code is fired when the page loads fully thus it will not slow down the page rendering in the browser which can help in boosting your rank as google search rewards fast loading pages.
there’s no seo case study yet that found google analytics affecting the ranking of the web-site in bad or good way. Just use analytic-s code in async format and in footer of the site’s pages. You can also use more than one analytics, but the javascript they’ll load will increase the page load time, so use only single analytics and google is fine with it. Google search and google analytics are not related in any way beyond owned by same company.
the answer is “no”. Google analytics does not affect your google search ranking in anyway. I tried it myself. For 3 months I removed anayltics code from few top performing web pages on my site and re-checked the ranking position in google serp via actual visiting the search page and with semrush. The ranking did not moved inspite of google re-crawling and those pages. this proves it does not affect ranking. You neither get a boost nor tanked in google search for using analytics. Just use one service only. I had used histats in past and they used to install over 30 URLs from third-party sites that really slowed down my page loads affecting ranking. So I removed histats and never went with any free web stats provider other than google.
goo-gle analytics is not a search engine ranking factor.
