Is ssl certificate included for free with cpanel?
I am interested to buy cpanel web hosting plan from The Online after reading reddit users’ reviews. While many web hosting providers sell ssl certificates as add-on (an it cost $45-$50 per year separately), do I get free SSL cert or cheap SSL (like $5 a year) with cPanel hosting at The-Online.com? Clarify this please.
Hi, While many web hosting companies charge extra for SSL certificate, we at The Online include a free SSL certificate with every cPanel hosting plan, shared hosting, managed wordpress, and even VPS. This is autoSSL certificate with highest encryption. The SSL is installed automatically when you purchase cPanel or shared/linux hosting. Your website and subdomains are instantly secured with https and can be accessed with https:// in the browser.
There is NO need to purchase SSL certificate separately. Though we offer premium, more secure SSL certificates that come with Secure Seal which you can display on your website or ecommerce store. Our study has found that sites displaying secure seal saw 40% increase in counsumers adding products to shopping-cart. So, if you are selling products or digital good then make sure your site displays a secure seal which comes for free when you purchase SSL certificate from us for a small yearly fee!
Blogdigy, yes, ssl certificates are included with cpanel webhosting plans and even business/web hosting plus plans at The Online. The moment I added a new domain to my cPanel account it created a new SSL certificate. It’s that easy. No need to copy/paste manual code or no need for let’s encrypt ssl. Everything is automatically being taken care of. That’s the reason I migrated from bluehost to the-online.com two years ago.
