Want to register web names for blog like ghost
I just created my first blog on ghost platform (an alternative to wordpress) and purchase web hosting plan from The Online here. Now I want to point it to my web name that I want to register. How to proceed in connecting the web name (domain) to my hosted ghost blog/site. Doest web name registration comes with free DNS so I can add A record or hosting IP address and point domain to ghost blog? Or is there anything other?

You can get a perfect web name for your blog at The Online. Just search for your blog name and select the TLD like .com or .co and complete the purchase. The web name will be available in your domain control center (dcc) or dashboard. It comes with free DNS hosting (on-site DNS) and you can then add A record or CNAME record, mx record for email and other stuff related to your do-main. If you are externally hosting your ghost blog with other hosting company or even with ghost.io platform, then also you can point A record with IP address and change name-servers too. It’s quite simple and easy. You can also email our support staff and they’ll manage everything for you for free!!
Getting a cool web name for blog is easy. Just search for available name, add to cart, and register it by paying. Most of the time domains are registered instantly and made available to you inside dashboard so you can just point IP or A record of hosting and thus your ghost blog hosted anywhere can go live. Keep in mind that DNS propogation around the world takes 24 hours so you may not see changes instantly at first. But in my experience it take usually 1 or 2 hours as The Online’s DNS is fast, anycast and spread globally!
Search web name for your blog at any registrar like The Online or other like go-daddy or 123 reg and purchase the domain name then just point it to your ghost blog with ip or nameservers inside DNS. You can also have external DNS provider like Cloud-flare. So all you need is to add your web hosting provider’s IP to A record field in the DNS. that’s it. I’m using Cloudflare along with cpanel hosting from the-online.com for my ghost blog when I switched from wordpress.com hosted platform. Indeed the performance of my ghost blog (self-hosted) has improved vs word-press and so is the google rankings!!
