To index backlinks via bit.ly or tinyurl or any other link shortener service, just shorten the link or baclink and insert that link in your own tier-2 site or web2.0 properties like blogspot, medium, or some profile. These link shorteners often have sitemap generated which gets indexed by google and bing. But it does not guarantee that your backlink from third-party site will get indexed. You can expect the shortened link from bitly or tinyurl to get indexed in search engines.

2. Short links are themselves a weak signal and they do not guarantee linking either your site or backlinks. Using link shortening services free/paid like rebrandly, tinyurl, shorturl.at, canva, short.io, etc. can boost signal to your site but not indexing the actual shortened url. Real, clean backlinks can get indexed if directly instered in your blogspot, wordpress, medium, substack, like sites. The indexing rate of backlinks will be >60% in such situation. But using url shortener is like only 10% backlinks getting indexed when I tried it myself. Also the time for indexing is also quite long – 4 to 5 months to appear on google.

4. Link shorteners do not pass seo value if they are not used on actual high DA sites or blogs. In some cases you’ll see the backlink which was shortened using link shortener getting indexed.
