I want to know how many days of grace period for renewing the domain will I get if my domain expires?
At Godaddy its just 18 days the domain expires will either get deleted or sent to auction marketplace, whereas, with Namecheap its 30 days. Can I know how many days of grace period do I receive to renew my domain after it gets expired if I register it at The-Online.com? I know different domain registrars have different policies regarding domain expiration.
At The-Online.com its 30 days grace period for an expired domain. So if your domain name’s expiry is 31st December, then you can renew it at regular renewal price ~$10 a year upto January 30th. If you don’t renew the domain in its grace period it will go to redemption period and it can last for another 45 days to 60 days. You will then have to pay a redemption fee about $40 to $50 to renew the domain. This fee is also lowest at The Online. Many domain registrar charge $80 to $200 fee. Also, grace period and redemption period differs for each TLD and ccTLD. The information I’ve written here is about .COM and .NET domains.
