GoDaddy Changes How Closeout Auction Works
Recently I wanted to purchase a domain listed on Godaddy Closeout auction – a domain marketplace where I usually buy expired domain names for SEO purpose. So I added a closeout domain to cart and was browsing more expired domains to add. But later when I came to the cart that specific domain was gone/de-listed.
I contacted customer support. They confirmed that closeout domains no longer can be reserved by a single user and that if multiple users add same closeout domain to the cart it will be awarded to the one who completes the payment first. Earlier the policy was the expired close-out domain could sit in the cart for two hours and it was reserved for two hours. Now the person who quickly pays for it gets the domain.
