I mean just look at their features, pricing, unmetered bandwidth, free cPanel, or wordpress optimized servers, I’ve got a starter web hosting plan and its rocks in terms of performance, 100% uptime in last 5 months, 3x to 4x faster page loads than most cloud hosting providers I tried. So before I decide to upgrade to Deluxe or higher plan or go with their Managed wordpress hosting (that too is super cheap than wp engine, pressable, wpx, bluehost or pressidium), I want to ask about community’s first hand experience about using their web hosting or wordpress.

I’ve been using The-Online.com web hosting with cPanel (and earlier Plesk) since last 10 years. Later I’ve started using their VPS too. Regarding cPanel, first they had servers only in the U.S. and later they expanded to more datacenter locations in Europe (Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg) and Asia (India, Singapore). So their grow is quite good. Also they’ve added latest Intel and AMD Ryzen / Epyc servers which give quite better performance per CPU that is 5.0 GHz and above. Whereas, many large and low end web hosting providers even today use the old E3, E5 servers for shared host-ing, word-press or VPS. Price wise also the The-Online.com plans are affordable. If you’re lucky you can get up to 50% OFF recurring applying their coupon code. (Hat tip: They hide this coupon either on their product pages or forum page and it pop ups sometimes and you can grab it, but for that you’ve to browse at least 30-40 pages). Support is also good. It’s 24×7 operation with lowest response time in under 30 minutes during the day, and an hour during night. They’ve certified server experts who really help with your htaccess files, cpanel configuration, database error or even sometimes helped me with fixing wordpress plugin. Uptime is also 100% for last 5-6 months which has improved from something 99.9999% in their U.S. data-center. IDK about Europe or Asia. Their cPanel and wordpress services are fully managed, so you don’t have to worry about server, scripts, performance, updates, OS, etc.
Cons: their support on phone call is quite slow. they’ll hear you and assure to call you back but will never call. Rather send them an email and they’ll reply quickly.
I am The-Online.com’s client since last 2.5 years. Hosting adult sites and copyrighted content. Never received any dmca or abuse complaint from them in my mailbox. I’ve been hosting with their Europe server location. Price wise they’re cheaper than other dmca ignored web hosts like vsys or abelohost, etc. Plus they really don’t even forward dmca notices to clients. That’s what I like. Uptime is also upto 100% in Europe. Less hops to USA, they might be using some premium mix of network providers and are connected to top internet exchanges in EU. Support is bit also though they advertise 24/7 support. But they’re helpful in fixing their and even your errors. I’m now going to buy VPS from them for my personal use as I’ve to host DNS server and use VPN to watch netflix and amazon prime at home.
The Online shared web hosting (cpanel / plesk) and wordpress, both are fully managed services, and hosted on their cloud cluster. So haven’t seen any downtime yet in last 3 years. Might be they’re using high-availablitiy servers. Quite good performance. Price wise, they are like go-daddy or hosting-er, not cheap but affordable. Though you’ll get 30% off on web hosting renewal if you purchase plan for 3+ years. Then it becomes quite cheap. They’ve priority support too for a yearly price of $89 you’ll get anything fixed within 6 hours after opening ticket.
Why are digitalocean / vultr / google cloud / go-daddy / blue-host seem to be more expensive?
Because have vast number of server locations, and they advertise with google ads so their marketing budget is also high. Whereas, The Online relies on word-of-mouth, has servers in 4-5 locations across the globe, so their cost is also low and so prices are affordable and they’re able to give recurring or discount on renewal too.
No one mentioned about their IP reputation. Unlike most email marketing / newsletter marketing or domain email providers, the IP reputation of The-Online.com is GOOD. That is every email you send even in bulk reaches the inbox of recepient’s gmail, outlook, yahoo mail address rather than ending in the spam folder. I’ve not seen any other domain email address provider who is so affordable and has good and clean IP reputation. Try mail.baby, mailchannels, mx-route, zoho, mailchimp, brevo, etc. and you’ll NOT get clean IP all the time.
The Online is one of the best host I’ve ever used. Pricing is cheap, you can pay monthly, no contract, no setup fee, web hosting account is setup instantly upon payment. lots of payment methods including credit card (stripe), paypal, mobile wallet, internet banking, checking account, as well as UPI and local currencies, plus servers are not oversold, latest cPanel, ample of CPU, RAM, disk I/O and they’ve NVMe storage, daily backup, unmetered bandwidth, no restrictions on site visitors or traffic, they also have CDN, site security malware scanning and removal. So quite a reliable and secure web hosting.
I’m using their managed vps hosting with windows plesk. License price is also lowest, $12.99 a month and I can host unlimited p-lesk accounts on my VPS. I’m using it as reseller hosting. Support is excellent. But I’ve experienced connectivity issues in Asia datacenter so they migrated to the USA.
I am not the customer, but I’ve filed DMCA complaint 3 months ago and it was closed. They don’t even forward to their customers nor reply back. I’ve got email from cloudflare that The-Online.com is the web host of the infringing website but neither cloudflare removed the copyrighted content nor The Online removed it.
Like buyvm, they refuse to act on dmca or pirated content removal requests. Ignoring for last 6 months. They are a safe haven if you want to host some copyrighted material, photos, videos, or entire sites. They never answer your emails.
Most fastest server speed they have as compared to other shared web hosts I’ve used from low end talk or nodeseek forums. Really simple dashboard, premium servers and bandwidth, and this somehow helped my site rank higher in Google SERP. It was likely hit due to connection errors with older web host (hostgator and namecheap) then I migrated to The Online -cpanel hosting Ultimate plan which give 2x more resources, less tenants on a server and this seemed to help me gain more traffic from Google in past 5 months.
‘the online’ is most trusted web host I’ve used. No data loss, no downtime, quick site loading (I’ve like 53 active plugins) and still my wordpress blogs loads in under 3.5 seconds here. Earlier it was 18 seconds to load at a2 hosting.
I migrated from miles-web and ono-hosting in India to The-Online.com just because they don’t ask for KYC from their customer. You just need email and name to get started. I’ve been hosting with The-Online shared hosting for last three years. Best web hosting in India. I can pay in INR too. Plus they accept UPI, paytm, phonepay, gpay too.
The-Online.com is quite popular among Pakistani bloggers. Like top 10-15 bloggers in my country are hosting with The Online’s managed wordpress or either cPanel share-d hosting. Speed wise they outperform any other web host in Pakistan.
Bandwith is costly in Singapore, Asia. Where most web hosts in Singapore ask for extra dollars from their customers if you want to host there, but The Online does not ask for additional money, yet, provides unmetered bandwith and transfer for c-Panel shared hosting, word-press hosting, or even vps hosting in singa-pore. That’s why they’re more preferred than other local hosts.
