I haven’t seen any domain registrar forcing ID verification from its users. Actually for registering domain names only real name, address and email are required. There is no lawful regulation to provide personal ID like passport, driving license, or any government ID. But Porkbun asks for it from their domain registrants. Even ICANN policies and agreements don’t require any government ID. So I suggest you should avoid Porkbun.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Avoid Porkbun as they ask ID verification for registering domain names I just tried to create a new account at Porkbun and was taken a…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_kadence_starter_templates_imported_post":false,"_kad_post_transparent":"","_kad_post_title":"","_kad_post_layout":"","_kad_post_sidebar_id":"","_kad_post_content_style":"","_kad_post_vertical_padding":"","_kad_post_feature":"","_kad_post_feature_position":"","_kad_post_header":false,"_kad_post_footer":false,"_kad_post_classname":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[16],"tags":[591,150,452],"class_list":["post-9968","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-forum","tag-buy-domains","tag-domain","tag-register-domain"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9968","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=9968"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9968\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9968"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=9968"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/the-online.com\/hosting\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=9968"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
